  • Theres an app for that! Actually, according to the Technical Interest Committee at Longwood at Oakmont, our continuing retirement community, there are millions of apps to keep you entertained and informed. Pictured here is Janis Ramey, resident and leader of a recent Fireside Chat focused on how to find and download apps for a variety of devices. Janis led an engaging (and packed!) discussion all about apps and whats available. Residents were encouraged to bring their own device to the chat to download apps, and if they ran into any problems, members of the Technical Interest Committee were on hand to assist with downloading. The group left well informed and ready to try out their new apps!
  • #tbt to Christmas 2017! We haven't quite let the holiday season go! Pictured here are Valerie Heinrich (L) and Ashley Landers (R), team members at our Elmwood Gardens campus in Erie. They brought out their holiday best for the resident Christmas party. We like to call Valerie and Ashley our Elmwood Elves! Thanks to Valerie and Ashley for helping us remember the spirit of the season!
  • Our Erie campuses are dealing with quite a bit of snow this week! From Monday, December 25 to Wednesday, December 27, the Erie area received 70 inches of snow - this is a record breaking snowfall. Due to the excessive amount of snow, Erie is in an official weather state of emergency and Eries County Executive, Kathy Dahlkemper, has delegated some of the National Guard to Manchester Commons (one of our Erie campuses) to assist with excessive snow removal from several of the emergency egresses. Special thanks to all of our team members and to the National Guard for keeping our campus safe for our residents and team members! Fun Fact: NBC National News folks have been in Erie over the past couple of days to cover the snow fall. As they were shooting a story at the Erie International Airport, the NBC crew stopped at Manchester Commons as they noticed the National Guard canopy truck parked in the parking lot.
