Leads and coordinates the overall safety and health management systems at assigned facilities.
Implements processes and training necessary to meet all legal/governmental requirements.
Conducts appropriate and required program requirements (e.g. industrial hygiene, safety equipment usage, confined space, ergonomics).
Responsible for compiling and reporting on operations and personnel records, such as time and production records, inventory data, repair and maintenance statistics, and test results via the use of Microsoft Office and Oracle EAM applications.
Responsible for, but not limited to; review of plans for accuracy, preparation of scopes of work, review of pre site investigation reports for completeness of content and coordination with plans. Prepare bidder list, coordinate distribution, review, clarify and negotiate final contract price. Provide regular reporting on project status and performance metrics.
Supports overall H&S issues within the facility by working closely with the Regional Safety Engineer(s). Ensures Environmental compliance in accordance with company, federal and state policies by working closely with the Regional Environmental Superintendent.
Ensures safe work practices and equipment are used at all times and that documentation and current practices are in accordance with corporate safety policies, OSHA and other regulatory guidelines. In addition, provide a safe environment for all employees, customers and vendors.
This position operates within flexible parameters. The primary goal of this position is to achieve excellence in all facets of facility management. Providing the highest quality product safely, effectively and efficiently decreases accidents and errors and increases profits.
Coordinates project management activities between vendors/suppliers and facility stakeholders to ensure the timely execution of projects within the AMR business division. Stakeholders may include regional environmental teams, H&S teams, and operations teams.
Provide meaningful information to drive business improvements and identify business opportunities.
Evaluate and interpret operating activities and results; make recommendations for improvement; supervise design of systems to improve control; direct special analysis projects.
Suggests and submits recommendations for improving safety or environmental conditions. Conducts or arranges for worker training in safety, repair, and maintenance techniques, operational procedures, environmental awareness, or equipment use.
