    #YearInReview: This year saw quite a few significant changes to #HumanCapital laws. In April, we reviewed some of the most relevant, including those related to #fairpay. At the time, our experts shared, "Laws in several states require fairness based on 'similar' work. Acceptable wage differentials are based upon one or more of the following: seniority, merit, a production system based on quantity or quality, or a factor such as education, training or experience."

    #YearInReview: In March, we shared advice on complying with the new lease accounting standards (ASC 842 and IFRS 16). With deadlines fast approaching, the advice is even more pertinent. Our experts suggested tackling the shift methodically by first taking an inventory of leases and gathering data. This requires involving the right team and key stakeholders early while utilizing technology to understand the impact of the new rules.
