Each year, SXSW allows the public to vote for their favorite panels. It accounts roughly for a third of the score. For the next SXSW gathering, we have proposed a panel on how mass transit can flourish in the age of autonomy, while still curbing GHG levels through zero-emission technology. Voting requires a quick, less than 60 seconds, SXSW registration. So, if you could take a moment today to vote here for our panel it would be a tremendous help in us having a winning selection.

One of Proterra's pioneering customers, San Joaquin Regional Transit District headed by Donna DeMartino, today announced--along with Proterra CEO Ryan Popple--the opening of the first 100 percent electric, zero-emissions bus rapid transit route in the U.S., exclusively featuring Prottera battery-electric buses.

Today the Raleigh-Durham Airport (RDU) Authority approved the purchase of Proterra Catalyst E2 zero-emissions battery-electric transit buses and related charging infrastructure. RDU selected Proterra as its battery-electric bus provider citing the companys sustainability, performance and operational cost-savings excellence. This purchase marks Proterras first airport customer and the first airport electric bus deployment in the Carolinas.
