PeopleDoc started as Novapost in 2007, on the campus of the HEC Business School in Paris with an idea to replace postmail: a platform intended to provide a single digital file management system that organizes and tracks organizations’ employee and policy information. In 2009, the HR community took notice of the consumer document vault and asked the co-founders to design a product specifically for HR.
