Hey Utah! Did you know that there is a #rocket garden at our Promontory facility? The display is less than 15 minutes away from the Golden Spike National Historic Site and features more than 20 different rockets and rocket motors, including a real #spaceshuttle solid rocket booster.

Booster casting for the second mission of NASAs Space Launch System is underway! This look inside our Promontory, Utah facility shows the core for the first segment being positioned prior to casting. The core is removed after the propellant has cured in the segment, providing a hollow section throughout the booster. This design gives the propellant maximum exposure necessary for immediate thrust of the booster. @explorenasa #nasasls

On this day in 2014, we launched our Orb-2 mission aboard an #Antares rocket from @nasas Wallops Flight Facility. This #Cygnus spacecraft was named in honor of former NASA astronaut and Orbital ATK employee Janice Voss. The spacecraft carried approximately 3,670 pounds of cargo to astronauts aboard the International Space Station, including crew healthcare system hardware, food, care packages, and life-support equipment. #otd #tbt #launch #rocket #spacestation @iss
