Robert Wilson speaks today at a ceremony awarding him the CME Group-MSRI Prize. Wilson, a Stanford economist, was awarded for his work in applying game theory to economic problems. The Prize was founded in 2006 by CME Group''s Chairman Emeritus, Leo Melamed. CME Group and the Mathematical Sciences Research Institute (MSRI), based in Berkeley, Calif., awards this prize annually to a recipient with exemplary work in the field of mathematical sciences and who recognizes the vital impact quantitative research and application play in shaping global financial markets. #economics #gametheory #MSRIprize

Not often that we get two #NobelPrize in Economic Sciences winners on one panel. 2016 winner Bengt Holmstrom (right) and 2012 winner Alvin Roth (left) were joined by @stanfordbusiness economist Paul Milgrom in our Chicago auditorium today to highlight their thoughts on game theory. The three world-renowned economists were here for the presentation of the CME Group-MSRI Prize to Robert Wilson, the Stanford economist who pioneered the study of game theory in economics.
