Fancy working on luxury yachts? Athena Khoo has left a raft of other jobs in her wake to go to Japan and become a marine engineer at Yamaha Motors, focusing on power systems. Being at NTU meant she had the chance to intern at top companies like Rolls-Royce, Keppel FELS and Dredging International. Her hands-on approach to problem solving was learnt at her fathers knee and shes absorbed many life lessons beyond the classroom from #NTUsg senior lecturer Dr John Heng. Don''t judge Natalia Tymosiewicz by her shy appearance, as the #NTUsg sociology grad has a big dream to set up a social enterprise that could change lives and make a social impact. After taking a Minor in Entrepreneurship that expanded her horizons, she met many like-minded people, and it opened many doors, like the clubs and extra programmes, which included being a committee member of the Junior World Entrepreneurship Forum in 2016. A hands-on experiential learning experience was what #NTUsg accountancy and business grad Alexandra Low wanted. Not someone who can sit still, she juggled schoolwork, hall activities and an internship at ThirdRock investment management group, while finding the time to volunteer. She led a team of 60 volunteers who consulted with non-profit organisations to help them achieve a set of real-life objectives. A valedictorian and winner of the Lee Kuan Yew Gold Medal , she will be starting her career at JPMorgan as a Treasury Services Analyst in August. Link in @ntu_sg bio. #NTUsgConvo17
