Diversity of backgrounds, experience and perspective makes us stronger as a country and as a firm. Heres what NP CEO and Managing Partner Andrew Glincher shared with the firm as we reflect on the events of the past week. To All Firm Personnel, Many of us have been stunned by the terrible events of last weekend in Charlottesville and the subsequent divisive rhetoric. Unfortunately, these events are occurring with greater frequency in todays world. While we cant speak out with such frequency, make no mistake as a firm, Nixon Peabody condemns and rejects any form of racism and bigotry. While it would be impossible for us to respond to every incident that may happen, I want to reiterate that our ideals, values and commitment to inclusion remain unchanged and stronger than ever. Diversity makes us stronger as a country and a firm. We continue to evaluate and knock down barriers to true progress. Nothing that happens in pockets around the country or the world will deter us. Our beliefs are unwavering. We appreciate your openness to think differently about what we do and how we do it. Well continue playing to our core strength of supporting each other and our communities through our words and our actions. Fostering a truly inclusive environment at NP is and remains a top priority. Period. Andrew

Congratulations to NP's Brian Whittaker, honored by the School Justice Project for his deep commitment to pro bono work with the organization. Brian Whittaker is a zealous advocate for civil rights, fighting to get his client relief and change the system for the thousands of court-involved students with disabilities who fall through the cracks each year. - School Justice Project
