Don't get caught in a #sweetheartscam. Con artists may generate dozens of phony profiles to lure unsuspecting women into relationships for their own financial gain. One such scammer successfully cultivated his target online and began to manufacture phony emergencies, each of which required increasingly large amounts of money from his victims. He played upon each womans romantic feelings and vulnerabilities, manipulating them into wiring him money or shipping him laptop computers, tablets, and cell phones equipment he told them he needed to complete his government mission. When the money ran out, or the women refused to send more, their faux suitor would abruptly end the relationship. Has anything like this ever happened to you? You're not alone, and it's not your fault. Share your story in the comments and follow our page today as we discuss sweetheart scams and how to avoid them.
