  • Interns from MIT worked at Lincoln Laboratory during their winter break. Sean Parks is a sophomore double majoring in #physics and #aerospace engineering. He worked in the Systems #Engineering Group in a Laser Radar #CubeSat project, for which he modeled a #satellite and analyzed its #solar power availability. #smartguy #intern #stem #solarpower #systemsengineer
  • #MIT interns worked at Lincoln Laboratory during their winter break. Sophomores Clair Nord and Ben Wang teamed up with Freshman Jason Paulos to build a ""test executive"" that configures and controls instruments for various tests. With their #software, staff can set up and run tests through a configuration file without needing to write #code. #ilooklikeanengineer #girlsinscience #internship #stem #outreach #smartkids #collegestudent
  • Interns from MIT worked at Lincoln Laboratory during their winter break. Jennifer Madiedo and Amanda Ke, both #Electrical #Engineering and #computerscience majors, worked in the Tactical Networks Group. They modeled directional #communications within an array of #satellites and created metrics for measuring successful communications. #womeninscience #ilooklikeanengineer #internship
  • One-month #anniversary of the completion of the 52,000 sq-ft #solar panel system after 3 months of #construction. Side benefit: covered upper deck parking, and protection from snow, rain, and sun. Staff continue to research opportunities for additional #photovoltaic systems on other buildings, quadrupling the #solarenergy generated for the Laboratory and reducing our #carbonfootprint
