#MolecularMadness - when science turns into art. This week we are looking at kidney tissue that has been stained with phalloidin, which is derived from the death cap mushroom. The image was generated as part of an effort by LJI Professor Dirk Zajonc to develop an early stage diagnostic for numerous types of cancer. The La Jolla Institute Postsoc Association, a group that represents +150 postdocs that receive training here at LJI, recently named Catie Crosby as their new President. She will be taking over for Cecilia Lindestam Arlehamn who served in the position for three years and plans to work on providing the postdocs additional resources during their training period. #LaJollaInstitute #LifeWithoutDisease #PostdocAssociation
