We assume that what children with cancer need is medication. But it''s actually more than medication. Sometimes we forget the power of touch, the smile, kind words, a listening ear, an honest compliment or the smallest act of caring. Everything has a role to turn one''s life around. #Repost @leomakassarphinisi . . . . . . . #leoclub #proudleo #leo60 #youthserve #cancer #pediatriccancer #childhoodcancer #weserve #kindnessmatters #leoseverywhere

Repost from @ggkenya: ... Free health camp by @lionsclubs #MPShahHospital held in a Lutheran Church in Nairobi''s Kibera slum. Camps like these provide those who literally cannot afford any kind of health care an opportunity to get basic health tests like blood sugar levels and expert advise on issues in particular relating to diabetes, high blood pressure and foot health. For those living in poverty one pair of shoes needs to last years. Often the shoes don''t give good support and wearing them everyday for years does damage to spine alignment, the way people walk and ultimately to their feet and blood flow causing constant pain and with diabetes open sores and ulcers. Changing a pair of shoes might cost $3, for a day in a diabetes clinic for an open wound it''s $500. . . . #documentary #womenphotojournalism @Catchlight.io #ReportageSpotlight #mycanon #visualsgang #canonphotos #health #lenscultureportraits #toldwithexposure #diabetes #sugar #children #clinic #eyes #apjd #igkenya #lionsclubs
