Develop and maintain state-of-the-art knowledge about mining trucks and allied equipment - especially electronic and software. Understand competitive equipment features, performance, cost of operation and overhaul life, etc. Recommend improvements in mining truck features and functions.
Obtain adequate financial and credit information to approve retail finance, municipal lease and lease transactions up to the designated approval authority level and initiate recommendation on credit extension requiring higher approval authority level.
Maintain a transformation focus, assisting the business in consolidating functions and infrastructure; improving, standardizing, and streamlining business processes; and reducing relative cost structure through increased efficiencies.
Formal Alliance Management review meeting with each supplier each quarter to measure performance, contract compliance, continuous improvement initiatives, payment, forecast accuracy, etc. Agenda to be mutually agreed with supplier, notes of meeting to be taken with actions, individuals and timelines clearly reported.
Utilizing extensive knowledge of mining best practices and working with the Application Engineering team, visit mine sites and work with distributors and customers to analyze current mine practices, and provide recommendations to further improve efficiency in the utilization of Komatsu products at the site.
