Astrophotographers Scott Lange and Nick Foster (@darkskyphoto) want to capture the cosmos using the 129-year-old Great Lick Refractor a massive telescope 36 inches in diameter. Equipped with a custom-made adapter to attach the telescope to a DSLR camera, the photographers plan to use this mighty lens to capture nebulae, star clusters, and galaxies. Pictured here is the Pleiades Star Cluster, which the pair imaged through an 8-inch Newtonian telescope.
