In this role you will provide high-level technical guidance to Joyent's network build and operations teams, and lead people and projects. As a Senior Network Engineer / Architect you will provide the vision and implementation roadmap into evolving network technologies including large-scale data center network with CLOS topology, Software Defined Networking (SDN), Software Defined Wide Area Networking (SD-WAN), and other emergent areas.
Assist in escalations, helping your team engage the right resources to triage technical issues using the appropriate communication channels; provide the highest standards of customer support by helping to ensure forward progression on all customer issues.
Develop briefings and associated materials and deliver in-depth presentations to Company leadership including but not limited to the heads of Business units, partners, and information technology professionals.
Perform security operations support including monitoring, remediation, implementation, configuration, planning, staffing, encryption, and tracking in compliance with security policies and other security-related statutes, regulations, rules, and standards.
Build ticket workflow solutions for automation of routing and approvals; maintain service catalog and service portals in ITSM/CSM system; manage and maintain Event Management System (Pagerduty, BigPanda, OpsGenie).
Monitor the external threat environment and information security trends internal and keeps business leadership informed about information security-related issues and activities potentially affecting the organization.
Lead account team engagement with top prospective and current customers across the Joyent product suite including compute services, data services, network services, messaging services, CDN, DNS, and more.

To start with, the product will focus on helping Triton customers get visibility into the infrastructure and application issues impacting the user experience of their cloud-native apps and provide aids to monitor, diagnose and isolate end-to-end application problems.
