Responsible for providing primary ambulatory medical care to the inmates of TDCJ. This includes examination of patients, ordering x-rays and lab tests to help make an accurate diagnosis, and planning and execution of treatment.
Provides an environment conducive to safety and security for patients, visitors, and employees. Assesses the risk to the patient and employee safely and implements appropriate precautions. Complies with approved and appropriate standards of patient care and appropriate standards of patient care as well as the policies of TTUHSC and TDCJ-ID.
Assist LARC Director with departmental vivarium operations including staffing, inventory supply and maintenance. When possible, suggest and develop processes to streamline operations and effectively utilize funds. Provide input on capital equipment needs.
Consults and collaborates with HR functional staff and TTU System IT and/or TTUHSC IT areas to develop new technologies to meet current and future business needs; works with developing, testing, implementing, and maintaining web applications and mobile applications.
Oversee and manage student services at the School of Law, including activities and programs; provide appropriate support services and referral resources for students needing counseling, medical assistance, crisis intervention, and other assistance.
Provides legal advice on a variety of issues including, but not limited to matters concerning the rights, obligations, and privileges of institutions of higher education, employment, healthcare, federal and state regulatory matters and contracting.
