Assists Service Lines and COO, Growth & Development in leading the System Executive Leadership Team in the development of the Surgical Service Lines for Health First. Updates and revises the strategic plan annually as appropriate.
Responsible for performance analysis to ensure accurate, timely reporting supporting business processes.
Leads teams with corporate and department projects that impact health plan operations coordinating with all affected internal areas, external vendors and customers to ensure that business needs and implementation time frames are met.
Responsible for medical policy development and oversight as it relates to utilization review. Collaborates with community providers (SNF's, LTAC's, Home Health Care, Hospice, and Physicians) to promote coordination of care and improve quality outcomes.
Provide technical guidance for projects in the Health First project portfolio; provide risk adjusted control selection recommendations, manage risks and ensure organization achieves anticipated value; ensure Information Security initiatives are tied to strategic initiatives and key focus areas of the organization.
Provide technical guidance for, the Health First infrastructure Systems project portfolio; set appropriate enterprise expectations, manage risks and ensure organization achieves anticipated value; ensure infrastructure initiatives are tied to strategic initiatives and key focus areas of the organization.
Monitor the investigations of adverse events resulting in patient injuries at the direction of General Counsel for the purpose of seeking legal advice and assisting General Counsel with fact finding that is critical to assessing general and professional liability.
Understands all aspects of business requirements and their relationship to application requirements. Works closely with other IS staff to specify requirements and translate them to well designed software structures
Maintains currency of EDW hardware/software information utilizing the Health First Information Systems Standard Template(s) and all associated Policies and Procedures for areas of primary responsibility, thereby providing a valuable resource needed to support daily operations.
Establishes and maintains positive, effective communication and interpersonal relationships with associates, department managers, CV physicians, hospital and corporate administration, as well as Medical Staff department/committee chairmen/medical staff leaders, and other members of Medical Staff.
