Maintaining an active, externally-funded research program; overseeing the department's research centers and collaborative research partnerships; participating in and coordinating the educational programs of the department.
Attending and sometimes planning weekly, bi-weekly, monthly and annual project meetings with collaborators and stakeholders; other duties as assigned; the omission of specific duties does not preclude the supervisor from assigning duties that are logically related to the position.
Perform chemical transport model simulations and analyze model output for policy-relevant applications; develop and run computer models linking emissions, atmospheric pollution levels, and health impacts.
The Post-doctoral Scientist utilizes several techniques including DNA methylation and histone marks, RNA-IP, ChIP assay, Molecular cloning, mass spectrometry, site directed mutagenesis, in-vitro transcription.
Work in conjunction with the Anatomical Curators in the scheduling, setup, and breakdown of laboratory for activities; coordinate with the Office of Resource Management for maintenance of physical space, including cleaning and laboratory upgrades.
