Once product design is frozen, the NPI Product Engineer will be involved with transferring the product to overseas manufacturing facilities with training factory personnel and providing transfer documentation, such as PMP/WI etc.
The test development engineer will also be required to work together with the test engineering team to design and transfer new test capabilities for high volume manufacturing as needed.
Your primary responsibility is to manage a design team and spearhead the development of high speed VCSELs.
Control and report real cost versus budget for tool, machine and piece price and purchased parts to General Manager and entire project team.
Project review meetings with customer in case of reporting about project status from plant requested by Program Manager Sales or customer.
Successful candidate will need to work to aggressive schedules and be accountable to finite milestones and process performance metrics.
Establish and maintain incoming material targets and processing targets to ensure conformance to product specifications and to maximize yields.
Manage and drive products through R&D NPI process, complete Phase Exit gates, and deliver qualified products meeting NPI deliverables to the Operations team.
Maintain and improve networking environment by designing system configuration; directing system installation; defining, documenting, and enforcing system standards.
Contribute to development of automated test equipment for diffractives optical performance testing for R&D and manufacturing.
Analyze optical link budgets and characterize components to determine performance requirements.
Support VCSEL manufacturing with data analysis to troubleshoot problem areas and improve yield and manufacturability.
Participate in and contribute to continuous process improvement initiatives at the department and division level as well as cross functionally.
Provide expert knowledge and experience to implement Camstar MES solutions and functionality across all sites.
Maintain effective communications between equipment engineering, process engineering, and manufacturing to ensure optimal equipment availability.
Be responsible for directing the sustaining/improvement efforts for equipment performance including hardware and recipe optimization.
Lead formulation of company business system architecture plans, assessing cost and feasibility of system requests and ensuring the plan supports both strategic and near-term needs.
