Proactively seek improvements to the safe and geotechnically stable construction and operation of crushed ore leach pads, tailings storage facilities, storm water ponds, etc. and communicate relevant geotechnical information to operational management team and staff.
Conduct short and long range strategic mine planning to include cost determination, pit optimization, mine method selection, mine design, mine scheduling, ventilation design and planning, infrastructure design, equipment fleet requirements, drill and blast design, and economic analysis.
Manage and provide Geomechanical project oversight and review relating to outside consultants, pit slope water control, structural geology, design slope angles and interfacing with mine design and planning.
Develop and/or review scopes of work, evaluate proposals, draft formalized internal requests for funding, and administer contracts with vendors for the provision of services and equipment as approved and required.
