An EPRI report evaluated the potential risk to the U.S electric grid from a high-altitude electromagnetic pulse (HEMP). The assessment comprises 11 different simulations of a HEMP event across the United States and identifies steps that could potentially limit impacts to power systems and components. http://ow.ly/QCBD30hlEcL

EPRI and the Korea Electric Power Corporation (KEPCO) signed a new three-year agreement, extending a collaboration that continues the expansion of EPRIs international efforts. The agreement enables KEPCO to have access to programs throughout EPRIs portfolio of research. That includes collaboration in areas such as power delivery, energy utilization, grid resiliency, cyber security, nuclear generation, and safety, among others. The signing will keep KEPCO as EPRIs largest international member. http://ow.ly/i16330gzjNP
