  • Cook County Health is excited about many of the changes and accomplishments that happened over the last year. Stroger Hospital was recently named a high performing hospital in heart failure by U.S. News and World Report. Regeena Francis, APN, knows firsthand the innovative changes that took place to make this happen. My last 4 years of service as an Advance practice provider at cardiology provided me the opportunity to work with a supportive group of professionals under a great leadership team that was always interested in implementing positive changes in the department to impact patient care. Patient care is our top priority and we cant wait to see what we can accomplish next. http://www.cookcountyhhs.org/announcements/john-h-stroger-jr/stroger-hospital-high-performing-in-heart-failure-care-u-s-news-and-world-report/

  • Cook County Health is thrilled to announce that Stroger Hospital was named a high performing hospital in heart failure by U.S. News and World Report. Chief of Cardiology, Dr. Rami Doukky, has played a significant role in advancing this department. I have been part of the Division of Cardiology in various capacities for the past 19 years; it is my home and my pride. Since I took on the leadership of this division a little over three years ago, we rejuvenated the division with young talents, modernized the technologies available to our patients, expanded the type of services provided to our patients, improved access to care, elevated patient care standards, and improved training and education. In the last year or so, these efforts have started to come to fruition; the recent recognition by the U.S. News and World Reports is a testament to that. http://www.cookcountyhhs.org/announcements/john-h-stroger-jr/stroger-hospital-high-performing-in-heart-failure-care-u-s-news-and-world-report/
  • Dr. Nataliya Pyslar, Associate Director of the Echocardiography Laboratory has been with CCHHS for only 2 years, but shes already found her home at Stroger Hospital. Its a place where I can realize myself and fulfill my purpose with full support of my colleagues. It is a very unique place where I can truly follow the professional, ethical standards of Hippocratic oath and provide the best care to each and every patient equally, regardless of their ethnicity, legal status, presence or absence of the insurance. Dr. Pyslar and Strogers dedicated cardiology team were recently honored for their work when Stroger Hospital was named a high performing hospital in heart failure by U.S. News and World Report. http://www.cookcountyhhs.org/announcements/john-h-stroger-jr/stroger-hospital-high-performing-in-heart-failure-care-u-s-news-and-world-report/
