Meet #CHCI-Prudential Congressional Intern, Walter Giusti! Walter is currently working in The Office of Rep. Adam Smith on capitol hill. Walter Giusti was born in Lima, Peru and immigrated to the United States with his mother at the age of five. His drive to succeed comes from witnessing the sacrifices his parents made, which has given him a further appreciation of the opportunities and privileges he has in this country. Walter is a first-generation college student majoring in economics at the University of Maryland. On campus, Walter is an executive board member for Pi Kappa Phi Fraternity, where he fundraised for people with disabilities. Additionally, Walter has gone on various mission trips with his Faith Presbyterian Church and assisted underprivileged communities. As a CHCI Intern, Walter hopes to expand his knowledge on the legislative process and increase his leadership and professional skills. Meet #CHCI-Walmart Congressional Intern, Ticiano Menezes! Ticiano is currently working for the office of Rep. Ileana Ros-Lehtinen Ticiano Menezes was born in Brazil and immigrated to the United States in search of better opportunities. He left his family behind and began the journey on his own with the hope that one day he would achieve personal and educational success. From a young age, Ticianos parents were a major force in his life and instilled in him the values of determination, respectfulness, and hard work. Ticiano is pursuing a bachelors degree in economics with a concentration in business at Florida Atlantic University . He takes pride in being the first person in his family to attend college. In addition to attending college full-time, Ticiano works multiple jobs, supports his family, and volunteers with several organizations on campus including, Stop Hunger Now. As a CHCI Intern, Ticiano looks forward to strengthening his leadership skills, increasing his knowledge in public policy and understanding of the inner workings of Congress.
