  • Today, Federal Communications Commission Chairman Ajit Pai announced plans to end net neutrality by reversing the Title II classification of internet providers. The FCC is set to vote on his proposal December 14. This could result in internet service providers like Comcast being able to throttle or block access to content it doesnt like. As an open platform, we dont take positions on many issues we believe thats best left to the millions of people who use our site and that its our mission to provide a free platform that empowers people to tell their own stories and make a difference in the world. We cant continue that mission if people dont have access to an open internet, free from censorship Thats why Change.org, along with a diverse coalition of companies and organizations, strongly opposes this move and calls on the FCC and Congress to support net neutrality.
