Manage the provision of legal services at periodic juvenile dockets in immigration court, including scheduling of attorney coverage, appearances as friend-of-the-court, intake and legal screening, and representation of unaccompanied minors in removal proceedings.
Maintain productive working relationships with program stakeholders, including funders, shelter staff, state and local social service and legal providers, and government agencies, including but not limited to ORR, DHS, USCIS, EOIR, the Young Center, and other legal services providers.
Manage the provision of transitional legal and social services for youth aging out of long term foster care, including coordinating care and services between ORR case managers and UMP legal and case management staff.
Ensuring the integrity of financial results related to government contracts and grants, revenues, receivables, earned unbilled, and advances, and preparation of related standard journal entries and reconciliations.
Develop and implement the process and workflow for website content publishing; ensure the process is used consistently and make adjustments as needs arise; provide guidelines on image/graphics use on the site (sizing, placement) and monitor compliance.
Prepare periodic contract performance, compliance and financial performance reports for contracts and grants as required by funding agencies or donors; conduct monthly meeting with Program personnel to discuss the monthly operating results both at the Program and Divisional level.
Maintain and improve high quality of the services offered, through supervision of staff and volunteers, engagement of the Board and regular monitoring of the outcomes achieved by the services of CCCSR.
Provide services to children who are detained in Office of Refugee Resettlement shelter facilities throughout downstate. Core services include: Know Your Rights presentations, legal intake interviews, legal referrals and follow-up assistance.
