Reviews provider medication orders for appropriateness. Assists with the strategic planning and implementation of pharmacy initiatives for the Division of Pharmacy and serves as a clinical leader in designated area.
Evaluates and mentors a family/patient centered care environment to involve a holistic approach by involving patient/family in decision making and to evaluate the effectiveness of patient and family education and resources.
Builds strong relationships with various levels of leadership (front-line to executive). Supports leadership to implement Lean strategy deployment and process improvement for assigned areas within Atrium Health.
Devises and implements appropriate growth strategies for bequest, real estate, deferred, and other non-cash gift activity to Atrium Health Foundation and recommendations for creative marketing and advertising activities (mailings, web presence, events, etc.) to promote planned giving opportunities, stories and tools.
Uses effective patient education techniques to provide counseling to patients and caregivers, including information on medication therapy, adverse effects, compliance, appropriate use, handling, and medication administration.
Contributes to the establishment, monitoring, and achievement of all organizational goals related to clinical programs including but not limited to education, quality outcomes, and specialist referrals.
Performs neuropsychological evaluations, appropriate to each patient, which focus primarily upon the organic aspects of brain function, but which also consider other etiological factors, which may affect patient's functional abilities.
Assists in the development and implementation of evaluation plans directed towards the assessment of efficacy, safety, and cost-effectiveness, and/or outcomes in a variety of healthcare communities and systems.
