CareMore Health Plan
Are you from CareMore Health Plan?
  • Here's a healthy diet tip that has nothing to do with what you eat. Eat slowly. It takes 20 minutes for your brain to register that you are full. Combine this tip with eating more vegetables and fresh fruits, plus at least three ounces of whole grains (oats, brown rice, rye, crackers, whole-wheat pasta) every day, and plenty of fluids like water, low-fat, nonfat milk or low calorie or diet beverages. For smarter eating, listen to your brain.
  • At our Healthy Start and Healthy Journey exams, when our Nurse Practitioners ask their patients, "How do you feel?" they're asking about emotions as well as physical conditions. Integrating screening tests for depression, anxiety, cognitive defecits, and other behavioral health issues is vitally important in managing existing conditions, and a better way to help prevent complications or the onset of other serious chronic diseases. #WholeLifeCare
  • It's Week 3 of the New Year. If you're new to CareMore, have you scheduled your Healthy Start exam? If you're a continuing patient, are you up-to-date with your Healthy Journey physical? Staying current with your annual check-ups and tests is just as important as keeping up-to-date with your medications. In fact, it's an easy way to do all of these. Call for an appointment or stop in. Your local Care Team is waiting to help keep you at your healthy best!
  • As our CareMore patient, you're the one, consistent presence at every healthcare encounter. So being educated about your health conditions and actively engaged in communicating with every member of your CareMore healthcare team can improve your treatment outcomes and your quality of life. Good health really does take two: the healthcare provider AND the patient.
