Provide clinical leadership to medical and nursing staff; facilitate communication with referring physicians and promote outreach strategies; supervise and educate medical and nursing staff when appropriate in the care of nephrology patients.
Administer anesthetics, closely monitor patients' vital signs during surgery and adjust anesthetics accordingly; monitor patients through the first recovery stages after an operation; and administer appropriate medications during recovery.
Lead teams to plan, develop, implement and evaluate curriculum in a scholarly manner; mentor junior faculty members about careers in medical education and specific research projects, presentations and publications.
Develop and implement plans to ensure comprehensive, timely, and high quality patient care services with maximum operating efficiency; ensure safe care to patients adhering to policies, procedures, and standards, within budgetary specifications, including time management, supply management, productivity, and accuracy of practice.
The selected candidate will have an interest in academic otolaryngology, a commitment to resident and medical student education and clinical research, as well as the desire to build a busy academic practice in all facets of Otology/Neurotology.
