Attorneys and staff rode in the Bike MS: Chesapeake Challenge benefitting the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. The money raised helps drive research and provides life-changing care and support for those with MS. We had a great time supporting the cause.

Ballard Spahr received the Cornucopia Award from Food from the Bar, a national organization of law firms and law offices fighting hunger in their communities, for the most food donated. Partner Dan Tobin accepted the award on the firm's behalf from Food from the Bar campaign Co-Chairs Tim Sullivan and Kelly Fisher. Our volunteers collected 742 pounds of non-perishable food during the organizations four-week donation campaign in May. Thats more than 25 pounds of food a day! Thank you to everyone who donated.

For the second year in a row, we fielded the top fundraising team for the Susan G. Komen Maryland Promise Ride to support the fight against breast cancer. The 33-member cycling squad was the largest at the event and raised more than $45,000. Way to go, Team Ballard Spahr!

Our Baltimore office hosted a Breakfast with Ballard event with Sarah Hemminger, co-founder of the Thread program, which connects at-risk high school students with community resources. Thanks to everyone who joined us to learn about the Thread Community Model and how its changing the fabric of Baltimore by growing self-motivated, resilient, and responsible citizens.
