In the spotlight today: Naperville one of the largest cities in Illinois. Among the many accolades it has received, Napervilles been ranked the wealthiest city in the midwest and eleventh wealthiest in the nation. To top it off, it was once voted the second most safest places in the nation by Money magazine. The first settlers called Naperville home in July 1831. The area was predominantly a rural community until the 1960s when there was a boom in the population. With two major highways constructed round that time, more possibilities for expanding corporations, more job opportunities and consequently more wealth helped transform the sleepy community to the bustling mini-metropolis. Perfect for raising a family or growing a business, Naperville takes care of those who call it home. #ourownchi

In our neighborhood spotlight today: Evanston! Weve previously given a shout out to the prestigious Northwestern University that called Evanston home, but we havent tipped our hats to the diverse community that surrounds the school. Still within Cook County limits but 12 miles north of downtown Chicago, this North Shore community is home to academics and artists alike. The streets are lined with Victorian houses, specialty boutiques, and gourmet dining. The city of Evanston is where Tinkertoys were invented. They also claim to be the birthplace of the ice cream sundae though other regions around the US claim the same. On this beautiful day before the Fourth of July, we salute whoever did invent the sundae. Its clear why its called Heavenston around town. Can you picture yourself in this diverse and delicious community? #OurOwnChi
