The University of Arizona Global Campus formerly known as Ashford University, is an online university headquartered in San Diego, California. In August 2020, Ashford University announced that it will be acquired by the University of Arizona for $1, establishing the new entity as the University of Arizona Global Campus. The transition was completed in December 2020. Zovio, a for-profit higher education corporation, will serve as Arizona Global's online program manager.
Ashford University was previously a holding of Zovio, a for-profit education technology services company. The university offers associate's, bachelor's, master's, and doctoral degrees in more than 50 degree programs online. The university consists of five colleges: the Division of General Education, the Forbes School of Business & Technology, the College of Education, the College of Health, Human Services, and Science, and the College of Liberal Arts.
