The successful candidate will become a member of the performance engineering group which is responsible for application performance analysis, performance and debugging tools, programming models, future hardware assessment, and interactions with vendors on the design of future HPC systems.
Focuses on Cyber Security Operations within a services based model of a 24/7 operations center. Including but not limited to monitoring information sources, Cyber Engineering Analysis, deploying threat counter measures, forensics, firewall lifecycle, electronic data protection, and testing and distribution of security tools.
As Principal Investigator, evaluate energy and emission effects of baseline and alternative transportation fuels and technologies (e.g., petroleum and natural gas fuels, biofuels and hydrogen), new energy feedstocks (e.g., from shale oil to biomass feedstock), and advanced vehicle technologies (e.g., fuel-cell vehicles and electric vehicles) by conducting life-cycle analysis of fuel/vehicle systems with the GREET model.
The selected individual will produce papers and reports to support the basic posture of the facility, analyses of off-normal occurrences at the facility, or to support the conduct of experiments in the facility.
The position functions in full compliance with, OSHA, NFPA, and Laboratory process implementation of DOE Orders, Directives and Standards pertaining to nuclear facility operations and integrated safety management.

Analyze risk exposure inherent in the Lab's operations and research programs and advise as to probabilities and acceptable courses of action; direct and manage the activities of the members of the Legal Department so as to provide oversight and guidance in various functional areas of the law.
The Division Director, Experimental Operations and Facilities, is responsible for the overall leadership and strategic direction of the division, short and long-term goals of the division, as well as enabling world-class science and engineering through unique facilities including engineering design and drafting, employees, and modern processes to ensure safety, quality, efficiency, and customer service are achieved.
Develop experimental control software (e.g., LabView, EPICS) and data analysis software (e.g., Matlab, Python). Formulate and write technical proposals. Publish scientific results in major journals and give presentations at conferences.
