Altran in Burlington recently held a collection drive to benefit MSPCA at Nevins Farm. Food, toys, bones, gentley-used towels/sheets, and other items to be used at the Farm were collected. Thank you to all who donated to the truckload of items donated to this cause!

Altran in Burlington welcomed the holiday season in traditional holiday styleby hosting an ugly sweater contest. Competition was fierceeven ugly at times!but all in good fun. James Kugler (top left) won the coveted King of the Ugly Sweaters title with his vest/sweater/garland ensemble. Christine Gago (top right), sporting a baaaa humbug sweater, was the runner up. If James cannot fulfill his duties as King, Christine will take over the title and the crown.

On October 3, 58 Altran employees set out to virtually walk across the US (Altran east coast to Altran west coast). The goal: walk 6,399,360 steps, or 3,030 miles, in 28 days. This fun, slightly competitive (maybe highly competitive!) event encouraged participants to track their daily steps, with each person challenged to walk at least 10,000 steps/day (rain, cold, and wind couldn't stop the walkers!). On October 31, walkers had logged 33,256,406 steps, or about 16,628 miles -- the equivalent of travelling from Boston to Bangalore, and back! Walkers report that the event helped them lose weight while heightening their awareness about the benefits of being active. The 28-day event wrapped up with an awards luncheon, but the healthy habits developed continue. #EmployeeFun #4TheHealthOfIt
