AlphaSense is a privately held technology company headquartered in San Francisco, California. Founded in 2008 with institutional and private venture funding. The company is the creator of AlphaSense, a specialized search engine for financial services professionals, launched in January 2011. AlphaSense, Inc. was founded by Jack Kokko and Raj Neervannan in 2008 to apply advanced linguistic search technology to assist investment professionals, to find information in company disclosures. In 2010, AlphaSense launched its search engine utilizing natural language processing to search through all major filings, earnings calls, conference transcripts and other related documents. In 2012, the search engine added company investor relations presentations for the Russell 3000 constituents to their database of searchable content. In 2013, the firm announced an expansion of its global data set to include more than 20,000 companies across 60 countries.
