    We are pleased to announce the first open database of live human brain cells! Now available in our Cell Types Database, this dataset includes electrical properties from ~300 living nerve cells derived from 36 neurosurgery patients. Additionally, there are 3D anatomical digital reconstructions for 100 cells. #neuroscience #brainscience #braincells #neuron #neurosurgery #science #humanbrain

    We were awarded ~$100 million from the National Institutes of Health to lead global collaborations that will build comprehensive atlases of brain cell types. The grants are part of the BRAIN Initiative Cell Census Network (BICCN), which aims to establish reference cell atlases of the brain by supporting collaborations that will create resources to be shared throughout the research community. #brainscience #neuroscience #bioscience #science #teamscience
