The Project Engineer will be a member of the Wooster Engineering Department. The Project Engineer will manage and support packaging equipment installation, integration of equipment with our current systems as well as managing contractor during installation, startup and commissioning.
Provide support in all areas of process design technology including process simulation, heat and mass transfer, thermodynamics, kinetics and the design of safety relief systems for new and existing systems.
This person will provide curtain wall, panel, stone, enclosure calculations, review and coordination of shop drawings with engineering, glass analysis, thermal analysis, specialty structural analysis, architectural components, aluminum, steel, concrete, and wood design and engineering as it relates to cladding structures.
Reviews and recommends contractor bids and capabilities and the engineering feasibility of project proposals. Prepares, analyzes, selects, modifies and evaluates engineering designs, drawings, specifications, bill of materials and cost estimates for major repair projects.
Must have a minimal of four (4) years' experience doing engineering design of water and wastewater treatment plants, sanitary sewer, waterline, storm sewer projects, and general civil/site engineering projects at project engineering level.
Identify process and equipment improvement opportunities; develop project concepts, scope and budgets; present potential projects to management; manage projects from concept through completion including: all design work; sourcing and selection of components and contractors.
Ability to read and understand Construction Design Documents and Specifications, ability to perform construction cost estimates and quantity surveys for various scopes of work, overall trade management and coordination.
Design, analysis, and plan set preparation for a variety of water and wastewater stormwater projects including, but not limited to, water distribution systems, wastewater collection, water and wastewater treatment, sewage collection systems, pumping stations, lift stations, water / wastewater treatment plants, and pipeline projects.
