The Sr. Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for setting up new production processes, managing quality issues on the production floor, and qualifying and monitoring suppliers in order to ensure continual performance improvement through the application of preventative and corrective actions.
In this role, you will lead system level design of payload integration using engineering principles to insure proper fit and function structurally, mechanically, electrically, and thermally when exposed to various environments.
In this role, you will lead the design and development of Opto-mechanical, electro-mechanical, laser, and imaging systems and subsystems within the R&D department for new, industry-leading genetic analysis platforms for life sciences and clinical markets.
In this role, the selected candidate will develop, evaluate, and improve manufacturing methods, utilizing knowledge of spacecraft design, composite materials and parts, composite fabrication and processes, tooling and production equipment capabilities, composite assembly methods, and quality control standards.
In this role, you will have excellent communication, problem solving and analytical skills are required. Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task in support of multiple projects is essential.
