The position will be responsible for legal corporate affairs including but not limited to corporate governance, contracting, liability and risk management, insurance, trademarks, protection of company assets, trade secrets, proprietary business practices, product and marketing content review and other general business activity requiring legal assessment and contributions.
Candidates interested in this position must possess 10+ years of focused ERISA experience including: providing advice and counsel to clients on ERISA and related employee benefit and retirement issues.
Knowledge of: Yuma County and Legal Defender/Public Defender policies and procedures; Legal Defender/Public Defender philosophies on resolution of felony cases; State of Arizona criminal statutes, rules and procedures, applicable Federal statutes, rules and regulations.
In this role, the selected candidate assists with document review and drafting of schedules, exhibits, and due diligence with respect to mergers and acquisitions; drafts, analyzes, reviews, and revises in multiple iterations supply and other commercial contracts and related documents.
The Counsel will have responsibility for providing legal support and counseling to functional teams on general corporate matters, with a particular focus on reviewing, drafting and negotiating a wide variety of contracts.
