The Plant Engineering organization is responsible for technical activities relating to operations and maintenance of plant equipment during Construction, Commissioning, and Operations of the Hanford Tank Waste Treatment and Immobilization Plant (WTP).
This position is responsible for all aspects of an automation project from conception to installation and testing. This includes functional design, control component selection, bill of material generation, electrical design of interfaces and control enclosures, programming, installation oversight, safety system design, testing and support. Complete integration often includes understanding and sometimes troubleshooting of the processes that will be controlled.
The Engineer will support operations by maintaining configuration control of the assigned systems, maintaining operating and maintenance procedures as technical authority generating and approving work packages to maintain and upgrade systems, preparing design media for system upgrades and repairs, supporting plant operations on assigned systems.
Serve as the manager for large, complex network integration projects (or a group of task orders affecting the same common/standard/migration system) and shall assist the Regional Manager in working with the authorized representative and customer agency representatives.
