Maintain all banking, corporate credit card vendor, employee reimbursement system, and accounting system relationships and prepare complete financial statements for review and sign-off with VP Finance.
Assist in managing the Company's revenue recognition policy and transition from ASC 605 to ASC 606 including policy development, impact analysis, recast and internal communications to key stakeholders.
Reporting daily cash transactions and balances to internal management and the monthly reporting of cash balances; reviewing cost requisitions and employee expense reports for adherence to Company policy and guidelines.
Assist in the preparation of the Store Profit & Loss statements; prepare general ledger entries and adjustments; address issues notated by field operations team; prepare statements/support information and publish to field operations team.
Responsible for monthly close process for assigned areas; responsibilities include preparation of monthly journal entries and account reconciliations, analysis of monthly operating results, review of financial schedules submitted by field personnel and special projects as requested.
The Senior Accountant should be able to perform and direct the broadest range of accounting tasks. This individual will assist the engagement partner and/or manager in the development of engagement strategy, planning, execution of work, review and interpretation of findings.
Oversees the effort of multiple client engagements and may or may not manage staff to meet deliverable deadlines within budget, identify roadblocks and understand critical milestones to meet client service expectations.
Evaluate compliance with contract accounting GAAP, including review of unit-of-accounting determination, revenue recognition method selected, actual job cost accumulation, including net realizable value of inventory, and appropriateness of unbilled, billings-in-excess, accrued warranties, and loss contract reserves.
