In this position, you will review and critical analysis of monthly financial results including, but not limited to: researching general ledger activity, analyzing account balances and transaction detail, balance sheet analysis and reconciliation, trial balance review, etc.
The Senior Accountant will be an integral member of their audit department, which consists of 10 professionals and 3 support staff. This role can expect to advance quickly depending on skill and desire.
In this role, the selected candidate will review accounting records and financial statements created by staff to assess accuracy and completeness to standards, review and approve budgets and periodic reports that compare budgeted costs to actual costs.

In this role, the selected candidate will be responsible for financial and economic analysis; add value to our team by having previous experience in a professional services firm, strong analytical skills and excellent prioritization skills.
The incumbent will be performing similar duties to the less senior Hedgemark-Accounting and Operations Analyst. However, he/she will also be responsible for demonstrating a higher degree of problem solving capabilities and a greater in depth knowledge of relevant accounting and tax requirements. In addition, this role would require more frequent interaction both with external clients and key, internal stakeholders
The individual will ensure compliance with statutory accounting principles including accounting for and disclosing all balance sheet, income statement and cash flow transactions in accordance with the NAIC and NY State statutory accounting principles and regulations.
In this role, you will prepare and analyze financial statements and other internal/external financial reports. The selected candidate will assist in the tracking & reporting of internal controls over financial reporting, and recommends enhancements to such controls.
The selected candidate will perform all tasks related to the complete accounting process, including journal entries, month end close, general ledger maintenance, bank and balance sheet reconciliations, and payroll.
