The Mortgage Banking Litigation Attorney will be Responsible for supervising and directing outside counsel related to actual and potential litigation brought against Chase throughout the United States.
The Legal Affairs Department provides legal counsel and guidance to the organization including by reviewing and negotiating contracts; handling commercial real estate transactions; ensuring compliance with governing regulations; assisting in procurement and other transactional work.
In this role, you will work as an attorney with a solid background in public and private sector matters in the area of law, including a focus on anti corruption for a well-regarded Ethics and Compliance organization.
Work closely with the company's business teams, in particular the capital markets team for executing company's funding strategy and the business development team for strategic transactions and partnerships.
This role will play a critical role in managing a busy, high functioning legal office, ensuring that day to day operations run smoothly and efficiently, serving as a conduit for information within and across departments, and professionally representing the company and department to diverse external and internal audiences.
In this role, the selected candidate will be responsible for managing technology in projects and providing technical guidance / solutions for work completion; technical consultant with .NET (C#,WCF, WPF) and SQL Server skills.
Duties include legal research and writing, international tax planning, taxation of financial instruments, mergers and acquisitions, partnershiptaxation, preparation and drafting of taxclaims, assistance in the design of insurance and financial products, support of marketing activities, and tax planning.
