Enforce operating standards for the Windows desktop environment which includes developing the management processes used for operating system deployment, application installation / configuration, and security.
Cultivate short-term and long-term goals and strategies related to corporate strategy, information technology and the pharmacy/mail order industry, and communicate these goals to the department, the business and others.
Candidate will be responsible for the administration of several Beowulf clusters running Linux; provide system and application support to scientists, researchers, and graduate students; implement the design and architecture of the high performance environment; and work collaboratively with faculty members with technical issues in the initiation and planning phases of their research projects.
The System Administrator will be responsible for the optimization of server installations at both the production data center as well as the disaster recovery data center and customization of monitoring software and generation of compliance reports associated with all production systems.
Partners with internal infrastructure teams and vendor to provide recommendations for hardware and system software upgrades. Develops and maintains a comprehensive system hardware and software configuration database/library of all supporting documentation.
