Review and update the suite of courses developed for the NASA Range Flight Safety Program Assist in the development of any newly identified courses. Provide qualified instructors for the suite of NASA Range Flight Safety courses.
Perform Software Hazard Analysis, including review of software requirements specifications, safety-critical software systems, change requests, and peer reviews. Maintain and execute the program software safety and essential function plans.
Activities conducted in support of assessments include, but are not limited to, engineering analysis, design reviews, mathematical models, subject matter research, personnel interviews, and data analysis.
Conduct safety check lists and inspections; support design and test readiness reviews and safety working group meetings; preparation of data packages and briefing material for Customer System Safety Review Boards.
The System Safety and Environmental Engineer will perform and coordinate system, range, orbital safety verification and validation of items, and launch site safety and environmental activities for the Vulcan launch vehicle configuration and deliver associated documentation, as directed by the Government.
