This attorney must have experience handling medical malpractice cases and required experience includes working and handling discovery, working directly with clients, motion argument and trial prep experience.
In this role, the selected candidate will be working with health system organizations in building/enforcing compliance programs and policies and developing recommendations to advise company executives, sales and marketing, product groups and clinical research departments.
In this role, the selected candidate will be drafting, reviewing, negotiating and advising on a variety of technology transactions (both inbound and outbound) including, but not limited to licensing agreements, software development contracts, services and consulting agreements, hardware, content and other technology agreements.
The selected candidate will be responsible for a full attorney caseload in the Civil Enforcement Section, and will handle a variety of civil enforcement litigation matters and administrative prosecutions brought before the Superior Court of the District of Columbia and administrative tribunals to protect the public welfare relating.
The Attorney will assist in managing the patent portfolio of one of Aftons high growth area strategic business units (SBU), counseling the SBU R&D Team on freedom-to-operate issues, including foreign opposition proceedings.
The successful candidate will join a team of lawyers providing legal and strategic advice to the university and will gain first - hand experience working on the wide variety of legal and policy issues that confront a large urban teaching and research institution.
Review, draft and negotiate a variety of contractual documents including hospital service agreements, business associate agreements, physician practice agreements, employment and consulting agreements.
In this role, the selected candidate will be advising on a full range of issues associated with investment advisors and mutual funds, including compliance matters, investment vehicles, governance structures, etc.
