The CRN II works with the PI, department, sponsor, and institution to support and provide guidance on the administration of the GCP compliance, financial and other related aspects of the research study.
Using expertise in education and professional developmentpractices, functions autonomously and in collaboration with staff, leadership,faculty and researchers to develop, implement, and evaluate staff development programsthat promote synergistic nursing practices and patient outcomes.
In this role, you will provides safe and effective training and oversight of the delivery of home dialysis therapy to the patient in compliance with standards outlined in the FMS Home Peritoneal Dialysis Policy and Procedure Manual, or/Home Hemodialysis Policy and Procedure Manual , as well as regulations set forth by the Corporation, state and federal agencies.
Maintain competency and knowledge of current standards of practice, trends and developments in his / her related scope of practice by reading books, journals and other literature and attending related seminars, conferences and the like.
Performs concurrent and retro chart reviews for quality initiatives, such as core measures, regulatory compliance and other outcome databases. Collects, aggregates, analyzes, and reviews data for improvement opportunities.
Provide direct patient care using nursing process within the scope of the Nurse Practice Act and in accordance with professional standards, hospital and unit policies and procedures regarding care of the patient.
Initiate the referral and evaluation process for potential transplant candidates. Review medical information, schedule testing including physician and coordinator consultations, collect data, review results and compile data for presentation of patient's case at Medical Review Board.
Collaborates with physicians, nurses, and other clinical disciplines in making decisions regarding each patient's care needs. Works with professional and nonprofessional employees of the hospital, with physicians, patients and their families.
Responsible performing initial, concurrent review activities; discharge care coordination for determining efficiency, effectiveness and quality of medical/surgical services and serving as liaison between providers and Medical and Network Management Divisions.
