During the design process, interface with the design consultant, contractor, and project stakeholders during development of design, comment on design submittals for technical and functional compliance and quality assurance, provide input on value engineering assessments and recommendations on design alternatives for owner decision.
Review and provide assessment of test plans, certification reports, NECT Integrated Products Team (IPT) inputs, Configuration Control Board inputs, NASA/NRO collaboration (i.e. NASA ERB participation, information sharing).
Responsible for all phases of planning, coordination, and design of private and municipal projects in water production, water distribution, wastewater treatment, and sanitary sewer collection. This will include directing a design team toward a common goal of completion of projects.
Perform project and test engineering functions for the development, manufacturing, testing, and certification of the International Space Station (ISS) Portable Life Support Systems (PLSS) Thermal Loop Development Test Objective (DTO) Project, a project intended to fly and test a high fidelity PLSS thermal loop engineering development unit intended for use in the next generation of space suits.
This position could include small scale design improvements; reliability and failure analysis; project management; new equipment specifications; capital requests; and we are looking for someone who has successfully managed a variety of plant engineering projects.
Ability to define routine problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions to solve routine problems and/or deal with a variety of variables in situations. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
