Responsibilities of the data scientist include data processing, performing descriptive analyses and performing predictive modeling. These performed analyses will be used for data exploration as well as for independent analyses.
Engages with business leaders and team members including data analysts and data engineers to understand the needs of the business, turns needs into data requirements, and structures data-based solutions as required to support business objectives.
Designs and develops enterprise-wide data analysis and reporting solutions against data warehouses and other reporting repositories to help business users make decisions by identifying trends and patterns in stored operational data.
Research efforts may require analyzing complex heterogeneous spatial and temporal business data sets; modeling large scale linear, nonlinear, and stochastic mathematical optimization models; and developing efficient optimization algorithms.
The successful candidate will join a multi-disciplinary team of scientists dedicated to advance and use computational methods to solve challenging industrial problems. ExxonMobil offers an excellent working environment and a competitive compensation and benefits package.
