The Director of Business Development is responsible for developing sales activities and driving the companys expansion into new and existing markets and verticals. The ideal candidate will establish growth plans and strategies to expand the Companys customer base and will be called upon to explore and exploit new revenue sources. You can identify niche markets that are untapped and you possess a clear ability to hunt and bring sales deals to term. You are also knowledgeable with various sales channels, methodologies, and pricing practices specific to the North American credit card processing space.
Provide visionary leadership and direction for a Sales Team covering the geographic regions of North and South America. Manage the day to day activities associated with a group of direct reports, including employee development.
Develop and leverage existing relationships with potential buyers through personal meetings, presentations, speaking engagements, business networking, telephone calls, personal emails, personal mailings, business forums, direct marketing, and/or other business or social outings.
Develop and grow both existing and new business in order to meet company goals and expectations for ground expedite and air charter and develop and maintain a strong carrier portfolio according to the carrier selection criteria.
Develop and analyze sales strategies, plans, and individual objectives for defined territory and accounts in conjunction with sales management. Schedule appointments with customers, travel to customer sites and intercompany sites, make sales calls and entertain customers.
The Regional Sales Director coordinates and functionally supervises all activities relating to the sale of all company services through relationships with accounts and through independent insurance, tax, and other financial professionals (Providers) who provide professional services to business clients of all sizes.
The ideal candidate will be an experienced leader with a proven history motivating and developing field-based sales people servicing regional and national commercial distributors. Must have direct-line reporting experience.
Identify, cultivate and manage high impact relationships with key prospects and major benefit consulting firms in the health & wellness marketplace including national practice leaders, individual consultants and their major clients.
